Liz Hill
Liz Hill joined the NBC Augusta News team in November 2005 as a general assignment reporter. In May 2007, Liz became the anchor of NBC Augusta Morning News. As many of you may have noticed, Liz took some time off in June and July to teach English in Costa Rica. She is now back home and thoroughly enjoying being back on the morning news desk. Liz is a graduate of Brigham Young University where she earned her degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in political science. Throughout her years at BYU, she had the opportunity to report, associate produce and anchor for the school’s 4:30 newscast. She also interned at WDRB in Louisville, Kentucky, FOX News Channel in Washington, D.C. and for the Speaker of the House, J. Dennis Hastert, on Capitol Hill. In 2005, Liz received the “Outstanding Broadcast Journalist” award from the Society of Professional Journalists, and the “Best of Broadcast” award from the Daily News. When Liz isn’t reporting, she loves to travel, shop, read, sleep and watch baseball. A native of the South, she is glad to be back where everyone’s friendly and there’s hardly any snow!
