Arielle Clay
Arielle Clay joined the NBC Augusta 26 News team in June 2008 as a reporter/photojournalist. In addition to reporting, Arielle anchors NBC Augusta 26 News at 11 p.m. on Sundays. Arielle spent four sunny years in Miami, Fla. She graduated from the University of Miami in May 2008 with a double major of Broadcast Journalism and Creative Writing. While in college Arielle had the opportunity to report, anchor and produce for her school's news program, NewsVision. She interned at two Miami stations, WTVJ and WPLG. Arielle also worked as a lifestyle correspondent for thepalestra.com. In 2007 Arielle received a University of Miami Television Award of Excellence for her story on the lack of minority faculty in the University of Miami’s School of Communication. She was also selected as a 2008 Meredith-Cronkite Fellow. When she’s not working Arielle is an avid reader. She counts Toni Morrison, Edward P. Jones and Jane Austen as her favorite authors. She also enjoys the theater, visiting museums and watching foreign and independent films. Arielle was born and raised in Birmingham, Ala.
