Liz Hill

Liz Hill will be taking some time off this summer to teach English in Costa Rica through a program called WorldTeach. She’ll be in a small town of about 800 people teaching 7th through 11th graders. Liz will be back on the air August 10th. Until that time, Arielle Clay, our Sunday anchor, will be filling in for her. If you’d like to keep up with Liz’s adventures in Costa Rica, check out her blog: Liz Hill in Costa Rica.

Liz Hill joined the NBC Augusta News team in November 2005 as a general assignment reporter. In May 2007, Liz became the anchor of NBC Augusta Morning News.

She's a graduate of Brigham Young University where she earned her degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in political science.

Throughout her years at BYU, she had the opportunity to report, associate produce and anchor for the school’s 4:30 newscast. She also interned at WDRB in Louisville, Kentucky, FOX News Channel in Washington, D.C. and for the Speaker of the House, J. Dennis Hastert, on Capitol Hill.

In 2005, Liz received the “Outstanding Broadcast Journalist” award from the Society of Professional Journalists, and the “Best of Broadcast” award from the Daily News.

When Liz isn’t reporting, she loves to travel, shop, read, sleep and watch baseball. A native of the South, she is glad to be back where everyone’s friendly and there’s hardly any snow!
