Dustin Blanchard

Dustin Blanchard joined NBC Augusta 26 News as a general assignment reporter in September 2007. In Recent years, Dustin reported on major stories ranging from Hurricane Katrina to the “TomKat” wedding.

Before coming to Augusta, Dustin covered the Vatican for the “Rome Reports” TV news agency in Rome, Italy. While in Rome, Dustin also worked on a freelance basis for Entertainment Tonight and interned for CNN.

Dustin reported for KOMU-TV, the NBC affiliate in KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri while earning his journalism degree at the University of Missouri School of Journalism. He also covered state politics for KMOX-AM in St. Louis.

When he's not working, Dustin spends his time traveling, enjoying the outdoors, watching the news or spending time with friends and family.

Most Meaningful Story: Covering Hurricane Katrina while embedded with the National Guard, and meeting folks still devastated by the storm 6 months later.
