Event Description

Augusta’s Ebony Legacy is an exhibit, which highlights the contributions and achievements of African-Americans who have lived and worked in the Augusta community. A complete history of Augusta is a record of the life and times and works of its entire people. It is the story of those who were born in the city and remained to help the community grow. It is the story of those who nourished by the community and moved away to other experiences, new opportunities, and great achievements. It is also the story of those who came into the Augusta area, accepted the challenges, seized the opportunities, and remained to enrich the city with their talents.
