The Dearing Mayfest will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the old Dearing Elementary School on Highway 278, Dearing, GA from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Admission and parking are free. Parking is available at The Eubank Company with free handicapped equipped shuttle service to the festival. A parade will kick the festivities off at 9:00 a.m. There will be arts and crafts vendors, inflatables and activities for the kids, a hamburger cook-off, a tractor display and live entertainment. The blood mobile from Shepeard Community Blood Center will also be there for you to give the gift of life. All proceeds will go towards the upkeep of the gymnasium.
