Arson suspected in church fire

BENNETTSVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Police say they are investigating a
fire at a Bennettsville church as an arson.

Multiple media outlets reported the fire burned most of a
recreation building at the Word of Life Christian Center early
Tuesday morning. No injuries were reported.

Church members say the sanctuary wasn't damaged by the fire, but
someone broke into the building and vandalized the pastor's office.

Police say they don't have a motive.

The investigation has been turned over to the State Law
Enforcement Division.
