Russ from Aiken wants to know: who has the best burger in town?

NBC Augusta went to several popular area joints -- and found out Augusta eats a lot of beef.

"We go through anywhere between 60 to 80 pounds of ground beef a day," said Village Deli Manager Chris Nabahe.

But he said there's no secret to selling all that beef.

"They prepare food like the way they'd want to eat it," he said.

And other spots wouldn't share their secret ingredients.
"If we tell you it wouldn't be a secret anymore," said Dorothy Appling, a cook at Gary's.

Every joint we talked to had one thing in common: freshness.

"We use fresh beef from doug's. he grinds it every day for us," said Nabahe.
