By NBC Augusta Reporters

As airlines that service Augusta Regional Airport have been reducing ticket prices, more people may be flying. Many have been wondering about which items you're not allowed to carry on.

You still have to check all liquids that won't fit into a small clear liquid bag.

Plus, airlines are asking people to check gravy, salad dressing, oils and vinegars, sauces, creamy dips, drinks like wine, jams or jellies, soups, cakes and pies.

Airlines are also asking passengers to pack their items neatly so they just have to be x-rayed, and not searched.

Think layers--one layer of clothes, one layer of electronics. It's easier to determine what's in your bag that way.

To deal with the hustle and bustle, airlines have hired thousands of part-time workers.
