Dee in Aiken County wants to know why she gets calls from political campaigns even though she's on the "Do Not Call" Registry?

The federal registry only stops telemarketers from calling.

Politicians and charities don't count, because they're not considered sales-based calls.

Telephone surveyors and companies you have an existing business relationship are also exempt from the list.
