By Ashley Campbell acampbell@nbcaugusta.com

GROVETOWN, Ga. - More and more people are going green. One way is recycling.

Columbia County Community and Leisure Services says its new recycling facility in Grovetown is scheduled to open by the end of this month.

It will be managed through "Keep Columbia County Beautiful."

You'll be able to recycle electronics, newspaper, plastic, aluminum cans and cardboard.

Isn't the new place in a central location for everyone in the county? People, if you don't want to recycle, then don't recycle. If you really cared you would take the extra time to drive out to the new center and recycle. I'm tired of going to the library in Evans and looking at all the trash piled up back there! If the bin is full, GO BACK HOME! I can't wait for the new facility to open!

CC Resident-Help this!! It's pointless to recycle a few items when you have to drive 10 miles out of the way. As for your idiot comment about being "lazy"- typical left-winger -here is a little help. The word you are trying to use is "you're" not "your" and "we're" not "were". ALGORE clone!

If your too lazy to drive to drop off your recyclables, then you shouldn't drive to the store, to get gas, to your child's school, to the movies, to friends. Because I would think a recycle drop off may be on the way...DON"T BE LAZY! Help the earth and do your part, it is not earth's fault were wasteful!

Will they put recycling dumpsters around town (& advertise them)? They should, most people don't want to drive THAT far to recycle but a lot of us are willing to find a recycling dumpster...

I take my recycles to behind the Evans Govt complex. When that closes down I will use the trash can. I have no plans to drive that distance to recycle. It was nuts to put it there to begin with.
