GQ: Are there plans to widen Windsor Spring Road in south Augusta?

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Just about everywhere you look, you see road construction.

A new road will soon be added to the list.

In this week’s “Good Question”, Michael from Richmond County wants to know plans still in the works to widen Windsor Spring Road in south Augusta?

The answer is “yes.”

NBC Augusta 26 News spoke with Richmond County Traffic Engineering. Workers tell us the new design for Windsor Spring Road is almost complete.

The county is expected to start purchasing land around the road next year.

Construction is expected to get underway by 2013.

I agree. Why waste the money on roads? We need more officers on duty in the Southside of Augusta. It's becoming unsafe to raise families here. Why worry about roads? Worry about the shootings, break-ins, and theft.
