In Tuesday's Healthy U, nurse practitioner Victoria Burt talks about when is the best time to exercise.

A person's circadian rhythm plays a role in the body's readiness to exercise.

The circadian rhythm is the body's clockwork. It determines whether you are a night owl or early bird. It is governed by the 24 hour pattern of the earth's rotation. It influences heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature and hormone levels.

Sometimes the best time for a person to exercise depends on your schedule.

To have the best results, you should not eat a large meal before you work out. If you don't eat at all that could cause low blood sugar and weakness.

If you practice a good exercise routine, then you could have a good night's rest.
