AUGUSTA, Ga. - Her teammates call her Martha Stewart now, but Lisa Marks wasn’t always a domestic diva.

Chopping veggies and cooking dinner at home took a back seat for years while Lisa worked hard to raise her son Tanner on her own and work a full-time job.

“I was an executive for a non-profit for years. I’m a single mom,” said Marks. “I didn’t have the time or didn’t make the time to do the cooking I needed to do.”

She and her son Tanner steadily gained weight until Lisa says she realized something had to be done. So, she signed herself and her son up for NBC Augusta's Biggest Loser competition.

“Primarily I wanted to be a good example,” said Lisa.

Being a good example has paid off. Lisa's lost more than 40 pounds and has piles of clothes that no longer fit.

It's not just her and Tanner losing weight together either. The whole family is getting in on the weight loss kick. Her husband has lost 35 pounds.

Even though Lisa and her son Tanner are on opposing teams, it's the family working together at home that will ensure both she and Tanner are both winners at the end of the competition.
