Kelley Murphy is a busy mother of five who home schools and manages to keep a thriving music ministry going.

“When we first started out, we were on the road just about every week and we did a lot of week-long events and I had five children between 2 and 7, so you can just imagine what those road trips were like,” Murphy said.

Murphy fondly looks back on her early days as a busy mom supporting her husband's ministry while he helped her grow her own.

“He's been a blessing. I would not be singing as much as I am for sure if it wasn't for his effort” she said.

Murphy has two albums under her belt, performs 120 concerts across the country each year and still manages to raise a family.

Part of her ministry includes testimony about her son Micah, who has autism.

“Everybody has their own cross to bear so to speak and the Lord doesn't always deliver us out of those trials, but he's always there to help us in the midst of them” Murphy said.

Through her music, Murphy shares her testimony about the peace and joy she's found despite life's challenges.

“I see altars filled and people just giving whatever's burdening them to the Lord. It amazes me the Lord would use Micah's story to help other people.”

Just within the last few months, Micah started singing "Jesus Loves Me" at some of her concerts.

Kelley's husband, Jamie, is over family ministries at Immanuel Baptist Church.
In addition to his busy schedule, he also helps spread the word about Kelley's music and set concert dates.
