Two restaurants received a percent score of 100 in this week's restaurant report card.
Six others came close with a 99.
Larry's Subs on 15th St. in Augusta and the best kept secret in the Aiken valley, Espress-Oh! on Jefferson Davis Highway in Clearwater, S.C. both scored 100 percent.
These restaurants scored a 99:
Richmond County:
Cuz's Place on Tobacco Road in Augusta
Dominique's on Baker Avenue in Augusta
Quizno's Subs on Washington Road in Augusta
Elaine's Cafe and Deli on Greene Street in Augusta
Columbia County:
Sandbar Grill on Washington Road in Appling
Zaxby's on Ronald Reagan Drive in Evans
Lowest scores of the week:
Church's Chicken on York Street in Aiken scored a 74.
Here's what inspectors found: No sanitizer kits, heat lamps over food were not clean and potentially hazardous food at improper temperature.
Souper Salad on Robert C. Daniel Parkway in Augusta received a 76.
Inspectors found food at improper temperatures and not properly dated. They also instructed the restaurant to sanitize or replace food carts.
Finally coming in with a 79 is Oriental Chinese on Tobacco Road in Augusta.
Points were deducted for packaged food stored in the ice machine, a fly problem and not having clean utensils.
Keep in mind all scores are based on the day inspectors visit the restaurant.
