Four restaurants received perfect scores in this week’s Restaurant Report Card, including one that was re-inspected.

October 30, 2008 NBC Augusta 26 News reported that Wing Place on Richland Avenue in Aiken scored an 80.

This week on a follow-up inspection they received a 100.

Two other Aiken County restaurants also received 100’s this week: Blimpie Subs on York Street and Maria's Mexican Restaurant.

In Richmond County, Burger Shack on Highway 88 rolled in with a 100.

Almond Express on Deans Bridge Road in Richmond County scored the lowest this week with a 73.

Points were taken off for food not being kept at proper temperatures, employees didn’t properly wash their hands and food wasn’t dated correctly.

Kyoto Japanese on South Belair Road in Columbia County received a 74.

Inspectors found employees not wearing gloves, employee drinks weren’t stored properly and chicken was not stored in the proper containers.

Las Lomas on East Milledgeville Road in Harlem scored an 86.

Points were taken off for food not being properly covered, their bathroom wasn’t clean and thermometers needed to be in every cooler.

Keep in mind that all restaurant scores are based on the day inspectors visit them.
