EVANS, Ga. - In this week’s Restaurant Report Card there are three high scores, including a follow-up inspection and four low scores.
First a follow-up inspection out of Columbia County, last week 26 News told you the McDonald's inside the Walmart on Washington Road in Evans scored a 59.
This week on re-inspection it scored a 100.
That grade also landed it in this week's highest scores category along with two Aiken County restaurants.
Tiger Soul Food on Augusta Road in Warrenville came in with a 99.
Zorba's Pizza and Grill on Silver Bluff Road in Aiken scored a 98.
Now here are the lowest scores of the week.
In Richmond County, McDonald's on Mike Padgett Highway in Augusta scored an 81 after a complaint.
Points were taken off for food kept at improper temperatures, incorrect time and date labels on certain foods and broken thermometers.
On re-inspection all three violations had been corrected.
Pizza Hut on Georgetown Drive in Augusta scored an 85.
Inspectors found employees not wearing gloves, dishes weren't washed thoroughly and containers used to store dressing weren't clean.
It's an 89 for Ming Wah on Baker Avenue in Augusta.
On inspection food was not properly dated, items weren't covered in the cooler and the ice scoop wasn't properly stored.
Finally, in Aiken Mi Rancho on Richland Avenue also scored an 89.
Inspectors found the ice machine in need of cleaning, non-food contact surfaces needed to be cleaned and floors needed to be cleaned under all kitchen equipment and under the cook-line.
Keep in mind each score is based on the day the inspector visited that particular restaurant.
This week's scores are based on inspections from February 9 - 13.
