AUGUSTA, Ga. – This week’s highest and lowest scores are all out of Aiken County.

The lowest:

Garden Gate Cafe on Hayne Avenue in Aiken scored a 78.

Inspectors deducted points for raw meat stored over ready to eat foods, a proper sanitizer test kit wasn't provided and floors needed to be cleaned.

It's a 90 for Jim and Brenda's Music Row Cafe on Ascauga Lake Road in Bath.

Points were taken off for food kept at improper temperatures, raw meat stored over ready to eat foods and a faucet did not have back -siphonage protection.

Waffle House at 960 Edgefield Road in North Augusta scored a 91.

This is also a follow-up inspection.

Reports show food not kept at proper temperatures.

This is a repeat violation that could lead to a fine or permit suspension.

There were also several wet towels lying around the restaurant and the towel sanitizer was not labeled.

We have three perfect scores out of Aiken County.

Huddle House at 110 Edgefield Road in North Augusta, Bagel's Baking on East Gate Drive in Aiken and Riley's Whitby Bull on East Pine Log Road in Aiken.

Keep in mind each score is based on the day the inspector went to that particular restaurant.
