EVANS, Ga. – This week’s NBC 26 News Restaurant Report Card features Pablano’s Mexican Grill on Evans Town Center Drive in Evans, a follow-up inspection and five perfect scores.
Two weeks ago, Hotel Aiken on Richland Avenue scored an 83.
On re-inspection they received a 99.
Now we have the highest scores of the week, all 100s.
In Columbia County, Dino's Chicago Express on Washington Road and Wife Saver on Furys Ferry Road, both in Evans received perfect scores.
In Aiken County, Pizza Stop Cafe on Atomic Road in Jackson, Bush's Seafood on Main Street in Graniteville and Blimpie at Wal-Mart on Whisky Road in Aiken all received a 100.
Moving on to the lowest scores of the week, which are all out of Aiken County.
Curry Pot on Pine Log Road in Aiken scored an 80.
Inspectors found potentially hazardous food not kept at proper temperatures, the walk-in cooler needed cleaning and walls behind the cook line also needed cleaning.
It's an 85 for Charley's Grilled Subs on Whiskey Road in the Aiken Mall.
Some of their violations rat droppings found under the sandwich prep area, chemicals not labeled and no soap or paper towels in the restroom.
Finally, inspectors gave Shoney's on Whiskey Road in Aiken an 86.
Inspectors say they found food kept at improper temperatures, raw meat stored over ready to eat food and floors needed to be cleaned under all kitchen equipment.
Please keep in mind that each score is based on the day the health inspector went to that particular restaurant.
This week's scores are for April 27 through May 1 .
