AUGUSTA, Ga. – This week’s Restaurant Report Card includes one perfect score and showcases India Café at 503 Shartom Drive in Augusta.

Grand Buffet on Wrightsboro Road is our lowest score of the week with a 72.

Points were taken off for food items stored on top of uncovered food, detergent and oxygen bleach stored next to mushroom and cheese sauces and black mold was found on seals in the walk-in coolers.

Waffle House on West Martintown Road in North Augusta scored a 73 last week.

Investigators found raw meat stored next to ready-to-eat food, onions stored on the floor and pots and pans were dirty.

Thursday, on re-inspection Waffle House scored a 100.

Kentucky Fried Chicken on Richland Avenue in Aiken comes in with an 84.

Some of its violations included employees not washing their hands properly, rat droppings and the refrigerator needed repairs.

Now, we have our highest scores of the week.

Linda's Bistro on York Street in Aiken scored a 100.

We also have three 99's; Davor's in the Alley in Aiken, Sonic Drive-In on Knox Avenue in North Augusta and Firehouse Subs at 1509 Walton Way in Augusta.

Keep in mind that each score is based on the day the health inspector went to that particular restaurant.

This week’s scores are for September 14-18.
