AUGUSTA, Ga. – This week’s NBC Augusta 26 News Restaurant features one perfect score out of Columbia County and showcases Flyin' Cowboy on Washington Road in Augusta.

Kicking things off, it's an 81 for Popeyes Chicken on Wrightsboro Road in Augusta.

Points were deducted for dishes not properly washed, potentially hazardous food not properly cooled and the wall next to the ice machine needed repair.

Inspectors gave Miyabi Kyoto Japanese Steak House on Augusta West Parkway in Augusta an 83.

Some of their violations - food kept at improper temperatures, vegetables in walk in cooler stored under a leaking fan unit and cutting boards needed replacing.

New China of East Gate Drive in Aiken comes in with a 90. Inspectors found raw meats stored over vegetables and cooked food, food stored uncovered and grocery bags were used to store food.

Moving on to our highest scores of the week, it's a perfect score for Mi Rancho on Jefferson Davis Highway in Clearwater.

Little Howie's on Williamsburg Street in Aiken scored a 98 and it's a 97 for Kentucky Fried Chicken on Furys Ferry Road in Augusta.

Keep in mind each score is based on the day the health inspector went to that particular restaurant.

This week's scores are for October 19 - 23.
