Ban on embryonic stem cell funding reversed

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama has cleared the way for
a significant increase in federal dollars for embryonic stem cell
research.

In reversing the policy set by President George W. Bush, Obama promised that no scientific data will be ``distorted or concealed to serve a political agenda.''
