AIKEN, S.C. - Judy Hamilton is one step closer to winning Aiken County's 5th District council seat.
Tuesday night, she won the Democratic nomination.
Yet, there will be a runoff for the Republican nomination.
Barry Baggott and Sandy Haskell will face off in the runoff
on September 29.
The winner of that election will face Hamilton in the 5th District council election November 3.
The winner will take the seat left vacant by Eddie Butler.
