Publix opens new store in Evans

EVANS, Ga. - A new grocery store has opened it's doors in Columbia County.

Publix on Washington Road and William Few Parkway is having its grand opening celebrations through 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The new store, located at Riverwood Town Center, opened with more than 70 employees. The store's hours are from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. daily.

There are now six Publix stores in the metro Augusta-Aiken area.
