Police in Ohio are pulling old records after the family of Betty Neumar asked authorities to look into the death of her first-born child. Neumar is the Augusta woman who was charged last month in North Carolina with solicitation of murder in the 1986 shooting death of her fourth husband, Harold Gentry.

Neumar also is suspected in the deaths of three other former husbands.

Her grandson, Jeff Carstensen, has asked police in Perry, Ohio, to re-examine the death of his stepfather, Gary Flynn, who was Neumar's son.

Flynn was found shot to death in November 1985. His death was ruled a suicide.

Perry police are searching for records related to Flynn's death, and a decision on whether to formally reopen the case is pending.

NBC Augusta has learned Neumar received at least $10,000 in insurance money from Flynn's death.

Flynn was Neumar's son with her first husband Clarence Malone. He was later adopted by her second husband, James Flynn.

Richmond County investigators are looking into the death of Neumar's fifth husband, John Neumar. He died in October 2007 at an Augusta VA hospital. His remains are being tested at a crime lab in Pennsylvania.
