A McDuffie County man being questioned in the shooting death of his sister-in-law is now charged with her murder.

Dennis Clemons, of Thomson, is accused of shooting Shirley Hunt several times in her Dearing home last Thursday.

Hunt's sister is married to Clemons.

Investigators say the sisters were living together when Hunt was killed.

Clemons was arrested after the shooting death of Hunt for a felony gun charge.

Investigators say this isn't the first time Clemons has been charged with murder.

He was charged with murder in 1975 and found guilty of manslaughter.

He served three years in prison.
