The Burke County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two rapists who've attacked two women and investigators say they could strike again.

The latest attack happened Wednesday morning. The other woman was raped Monday morning.

Normally it is not NBC Augusta's policy to give such a vague description, but investigators have asked us to pass this information along. Right now all they know is the men are black and were in a white car.

Both women were offered a ride by the men in Richmond County. Their attackers drove them to Burke County and assaulted them. One of the women was attacked at gunpoint.

Sgt. Dan Lowe of the Burke County Sheriff's Office says people should be extra careful.

“First off don't accept rides from anyone you don't know. Be aware of your surroundings. Other than that just a little common sense, don't just jump in the car with anyone,” Lowe said.

Sgt. Lowe says if anyone out there has had something like this happen to them or has any information on these two men, please call (706) 554-2133.
