AUGUSTA, Ga. - An Augusta man was shot and killed during a home invasion early Thursday morning.

An investigator with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office says Jezreel Hammond, 23 of 2806 Royal Street was shot at least one time.

Deputies tell NBC Augusta Hammond was home with his grandmother when two to four men forced their way into the back door of the home.

Investigators spent most of this morning passing out flyers hoping to get tips to find Hammond's killers.

They are still putting together a time line of how things unraveled, so far they don't have any motives.

If you have any information, call the Richmond County Sheriff's Office at (706) 821-1080.
