AUGUSTA, Ga. - According to incident reports filed with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office several cars were broken in to this weekend in the Augusta Mall area.

Investigators say burglars know they have a good chance of finding cars loaded with electronics and other expensive gifts during the holiday shopping season.

"People who break in to cars obviously want something - they wouldn't be breaking in if they didn't want to steal something,” said Lt. Tony Walden, Richmond County Sheriff's Office. “If they walk by a car and they look and they don't see anything visible, most likely they'll pass that vehicle and move on to the next."

Authorities recommend hiding shopping bags in your trunk or under car seats or blankets.

They ought to be proud of themselves,stealing from people,i bet they brag about it.Ill bet if somebody stole something from them they will be mad as hell.Eventually they will be caught and justice will be served.Quicker the better.
