GBI investigates death of northeast Georgia minister

CLEVELAND, Ga. (AP) - Authorities in northeast Georgia are
investigating the death of a church youth minister.

The body of the Rev. Edward Frank Harris Jr. of Clermont was
found shortly before 4 a.m. Monday in the yard of a home in
Cleveland.

Harris' mother-in-law, Harriet Carnes, said he called Sunday
night upon leaving the Pendergrass Baptist Church, where he was
youth minister. She said the 44-year-old Harris said he was going
to give some stranded people a ride to Cleveland, about 25 miles
from Pendergrass and 10 from Clermont.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in to assist
Cleveland police. Special agent Mike Ayers of the GBI said the body
was taken to the GBI crime lab in Decatur for an autopsy.
