Update: Second shooting linked to deadly Aiken County home invasion
RIDGE SPRING, S.C.- An Aiken County man was killed during a home invasion. It happened on Whispering Pine Road in Ridge Spring around 2 a.m. Friday. Aiken County deputies say four men broke into the home and shot 34-year-old Jerry Tyler. Deputies tell 26 News, while on the scene of the home invasion they were dispatched to a second shooting on Vanest Road. Officers found one of the suspects, Terrance Riley, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. They say he was shot by another suspect. Investigators have taken Datron McFadden, Islam Dunn and a 15-year-into custody. All will be charged with murder and burglary. Terrance is in critical condition at MCGHealth.
