Walterboro woman killed in her bedroom from shots fired outside
WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCBD) - The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide in Walterboro. It happened Monday night around 11:20 p.m. When deputies arrived at the home, family members told them someone had shot through the front bedroom window that faces the road and struck their mother while she was lying in bed. The victim, 38-year-old Adela Chanel Pinckney, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Colleton County Coroner’s Office. After processing the crime scene, investigators with the Sheriff’s Office started following up several leads. No one is in custody or charged with the death of the victim.
