Investigators search for man accused of raping Augusta woman

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Richmond County investigators are searching for the man they say attacked and raped a woman.

Willie Lee Cuyler is accused of raping a woman Sunday evening.

According to investigators, the victim said she got into Cuyler's car on 9th Street in downtown Augusta.

The victim told investigators she had the intentions of getting a ride home from the man.

Investigators say Cuyler then took the victim to his residence and began to attack and rape her.

They say he then tied the victim up and placed her in his vehicle and left his residence. Investigators tell NBC Augusta 26 News the victim was able to break free and escape from Cuyler while he was driving down the road.

Cuyler is believed to be driving a newer model gold Chevrolet Impala.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has warrants for Cuyler for charges of rape and kidnapping.

Good job Georgia! He was doing 20 years for another crime and ya'll let him out 6 years early...and now someone has been raped. That whole parole system seems to work out pretty good for the state doesn't it? My opinion: You get 20 years, you do 20 years.
