Former Aiken Co. Middle school teacher arrested for improper conduct with minor

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. - The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a former Aiken County middle school teacher concerning Lewd Act and Criminal Sexual Conduct with a minor.

Joseph Jay Magni Jr. is charged and currently in the Aiken County Detention Center. He is a former teacher at Leavelle-McCampbell Middle School in Graniteville.

Aiken County Sheriff’s Office Juvenile investigators say between the months of May 2009 and June of 2009 that Magni did commit criminal sexual conduct and lewd act on a minor, a 14 year old female victim, while at the Aiken Mall Cinemas.

Investigators say Magni also committed a lewd act and criminal sexual conduct on a minor, a 14 year old female victim, while at school. They say that happened between the months of May 2009 and June 2009

This is happening all over the country. Go to www.schoolteachernews.com and click on the Scandal page. This year they have documented over 400 of these types of incidents. In 2008 they found 478 of these kinds of cases.
