NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Aiken County investigators are looking for the people who stole copper from a church's air conditioning unit.
It happened at the Belvedere Church of God sometime Wednesday night.
Investigators tell NBC Augusta 26 News the air conditioning unit which cost the church almost $2000 is beyond saving.
Aiken County deputies says they’ve had a several incidents involving copper thieves in the past two months, but this year copper thefts are down.
The copper was worth about $50.
