AUGUSTA, Ga. - A police chase ends with the arrest of two men, after more than 20 pounds of drugs were dropped off at a home on Garlington Avenue.

That's near downtown Augusta.

Richmond County Narcotics investigators say the drugs were mailed to the home. Two men picked up the package.

When investigators tried to pull them over, that's when the chase began. It ended less than one mile away.

Both men are in jail. The marijuana is valued at $25,000.

Yes, those who want it legal most likely smoke. I have been battling HIV for 15 years and there ARE definite medicinal qualities to it. Reduction of stress if nothing else helps your immune system.

No. Some of us are just tired of the coffers being futilely drained for the political advancement of those who get elected via fear tactics. I grew up back in the day, had experience with it, as did almost everyone I knew. Today, nearly all of these people are literally slaves to alcohol, while a very few still smoke pot. At least I know what I'm talking about. Put down the beer and pick up a history book.

Could the people who want to legalize pot be users themselves? Stop complaining...be thankful we have such good deputies on our streets! Good Job Richmond County!

Legalize it. The only violence involved with pot is when someone tries to steal it, or when "real" criminals are dealing it. It's stupid to waste money trying to stop people from using it instead of taxing it like they tax everything else. Coming from the '60's, I've seen alcohol destroy more lives than anything out there. Never seen pot hurt anyone.

All of that rigamarole for some pot. What a waste of the taxpayer's money. Pot isn't something to be scared of. Go after the cocaine and heroin dealers
