Attempted and successful robberies in Augusta may be linked

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Investigators say the same man may be responsible for two robberies in Augusta.

Deputies tell us a man walked into Jo-Ann Fabrics on Wrightsboro Road and demanded money from the clerk Monday night.

The worker had trouble opening the register, so the robber left the scene.

About 20 minutes later, the Pizza Hut on Georgetown Drive was robbed.

A white 4-door car was seen leaving both locations.
