Deputies search for attempted shoplifter in Columbia County

EVANS, Ga. - Columbia County deputies are looking for a man they say tried to steal DVD players from the Target in Evans.

Store employees told investigators the man hid the electronics under his jacket.

When confronted, the workers say he dropped the items and left the store.

You are asked to call the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 541-2800 if you recognize the man in the surveillance photo.
