President Bush to visit Georgia

ATLANTA (AP) - President Bush will touch down in Georgia on
Tuesday to help raise money for congressional hopeful Rick Goddard.

Goddard, a former Air Force general, is trying to oust U.S. Rep.
Jim Marshall in central Georgia's 8th Congressional District.

Marshall, a conservative Democrat, has survived several tough GOP
challenges in recent years. He holds a nearly 3-to-1 fundraising
advantage over Goddard.

It's been almost two years since Bush last visited Georgia. That
October 2006 trip was to stump for Marshall's then-opponent Mac
Collins. Collins went on to lose.

While he's in Georgia, Bush will present a volunteer service
award to Sherri Goggin, a former Mrs. Georgia who provides gift
bags for the families of premature babies.
