COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson is heading to a
hydrogen research facility at the Savannah River site.
The Republican's trip to the facility Wednesday is part of a
tour that's bringing criticism from Wilson's Democratic opponent.
Challenger Rob Miller says stops on Wilson's five-day bus tour
show he's spending taxpayer money to support his re-election bid.
Miller says Wilson is campaigning for re-election in a gas-guzzling
bus at taxpayer expense.
Wilson spokesman Ryan Murphy says Wilson has made trips like
this for seven years to stay in touch with constituents.
Murphy says Wilson's campaign makes reimbursements for any
political activity.
