Obama naming running mate this weekend

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - Barack Obama's running mate will join
the Democratic hopeful at a rally in Illinois on Saturday.

He hasn't revealed his choice yet, but Delaware Senator Joe Biden tells reporters he's ``not the guy.''

Biden is believed be on a short list that also includes Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius, Indiana Senator Evan Bayh and Virginia Governor Tim Kaine.

Sebelius tells the AP she has no inside knowledge of when the
choice will be announced. She was in Michigan stumping for Obama
yesterday. Kaine plans to campaign with Obama tomorrow.

John McCain might announce his choice at the end of next week.
Top McCain advisers are said to be gauging the impact an abortion-rights supporter would have on the ticket with big donors and high-profile delegates in key states.
