Former Georgia congressional representatives campaign for president in Michigan

LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia
McKinney plans to spend much of the Labor Day weekend campaigning
in Michigan.

The state party announced the trip Friday. McKinney has Detroit area events planned for August 30 through Sept. 1.

McKinney is a former Democratic congresswoman from Georgia.

Libertarian Party presidential candidate Bob Barr, also a former
Georgia congressman, had a stop in Michigan scheduled earlier this
month.
