The Democratic National Convention kicked off Monday in Denver, Colo. and Democratic Congressman John Barrow appeared on NBC Augusta Morning News at 11 a.m. to talk about his take on the 2008 presidential elections.

Several local representatives attended the convention as delegates.

Democratic Congressman John Barrow was one of those representatives headed out to the convention.

During the convention Michelle Obama was scheduled to be the prime time speaker at the event and talk about her husband's life.

Obama hopes his life story will help voters understand why he's the right man for president.

Barrow is a strong supporter of Obama and is scheduled to make an appearance at the convention.
