U.S. Congressman Paul Broun talks about McCain's VP pick

Friday morning Sen. John McCain announced his choice for his vice presidential running mate: Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. U.S. Congressman Paul Broun talked to NBC Augusta about McCain's decision.

Broun said that McCain chose the right person as his running mate.

Broun said that although Palin is not as experienced as McCain, the senator's years in office would balance them out.

The Republican National Convention is scheduled to begin Monday in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The Democratic National Convention wrapped up Thursday night at Invesco Field in Denver.

He selected as his 'heartbeat away' running mate someone with absolutely zero experience or capability to run the country on some vague shot for Hillary votes. Forget our country, forget experience, forget national security. Out of all the solid capable experienced conservative candidates he could have chosen, he goes for the votes. It might get him a few women's votes. But intelligent people will note how he would leave the country totally vulnerable should he die in office. Very bad judgment.
