WASILLA, Alaska (AP) - Several hundred people haven't gotten the
party they were hoping for in Sarah Palin's hometown.

Inside the sports center in Wasilla, Alaska, John McCain's concession speech left everyone disappointed.

from Alaska says he thinks "America made a big mistake.'' He thinks the GOP ticket needed just one more month.

Another person thinks Palin will be back on the ticket in four years.

"Palin 2012'' T-shirts were for sale at the rally.

At a bar in the Anchorage suburb, one couple was split over the
result. An Iraq war veteran says Barack Obama's pledge to withdraw
troops from Iraq resonated with him. But his girlfriend says it'll mean those who have already died there have done so in vain.
