About 50 girls lined up in front of the NBC Augusta studio to get their chance at supermodel stardom.

Our sister station, the CW Augusta, held the auditions for the television show America’s Next Top Model as part of RiverBlast 2008.

The audition tapes will be sent to the show’s producers and the girls could end up on the show.

Many of the girls felt they have what it takes to make it to the top.

“I have a passion for fashion and this is something I've always wanted to do and I think I can excel in the entertainment industry and be a positive role model for young women,” said Top Model hopeful Shera Galloway.

Hopeful Jillian Sims just wanted the opportunity to break into the industry.

“I don't know that I have it anymore than any of these other girls standing out here. I'm just simply asking for the chance,” Sims said.

And one girl at the auditions had dream of putting Augusta in the spotlight.

“I'm going to do whatever it takes to make it to the top and put August on the map,” said Topaz Teen.

NBC Augusta will let you know if the girls make it on the show.
