Desert festival "Burning Man " winds down

By NBCAugusta Reporters

RENO, Nev. (AP) - The party is drawing to a close at the annual
Burning Man festival in northern Nevada.

The eclectic art and music festival that ends on Labor Day
climaxed late Saturday night with the torching of its 40-foot
signature effigy. But lots of people were chased off before the
finale because of a dust storm in the Black Rock Desert.

The crowd peaked Saturday at almost 50,000.
Police report just a few arrests.
