AUGUSTA. Ga. - In stores all over Augusta Michael Jackson's CDs and DVDs are flying off shelves.
Many stores are sold out or have very few left.
"It doesn't seem like he's really gone," long time fan and owner of Pyramid Music store, Robert “Flash” Gordon said.
Gordon says Pyramid Music store has nearly sold out of all their Michael Jackson CDs and DVDs.
"It's good as far as business is concerned, but it's bad when you think of why it's as good as it is,” Gordon said.
Gordon has been busy with customers after the news of Michael Jackson’s death Thursday evening and all morning Friday.
Gordon says he had 50 CDs in the morning--now all he has is three left.
Customer Starlesha Bryant made it just in time to get the last copy of Jackson's "Thriller" CD.
Bryant says she's been a fan of Michael Jackson since she was a little girl and couldn't believe when she found out he died.
“I cried like a family member died. I really did,” Bryant said.
“It's a sad day, but a joyous day because he can live on in his music,” Gordon reminded.
Besides music, there is another way to remember Jackson. A memorial has been set up at the James Brown Arena.
Flash has his own Memorial of pictures set up in his store from when Michael Jackson came to visit for James Brown's Funeral.
“He was a humble, a very soft spoken, a very gracious person,” Gordon said.
“He'll live forever through his music, but he'll never be replaced,” Bryant said.
“Beat it, you can always beat it,” Gordon says.
Gordon says he doesn’t expect his stock to last the day, but that he’ll have more hopefully by Monday.
NBC Augusta 26 News has learned some community leaders are planning a candlelight Vigil to remember Michael.
It will be on Tuesday, June 30 in downtown Augusta near the James Brown Statue starting at 7 p.m.
