LOS ANGELES (NBC NEWS) - Rumors of a public memorial for Michael Jackson are already pushing fans to Neverland Ranch. "I just felt that I wanted to be here. I wanted to be a part of it," fan Luanne Ferragine said. Inside the gates of Michael Jackson’s former compound, crews are working, but it's still not clear why. Wednesday, there were growing indications that a memorial and funeral could actually be held in Los Angeles with a burial at a Hollywood Hills cemetery. At this point, no one will confirm any plans for a celebration of the singer's life. What we do know now is how Jackson wanted his affairs handled after death. His seven-year-old will was filed with the court Wednesday morning. It places all of Jackson’s assets in a family trust to be controlled by his mother, Katherine, who is also named as the guardian of his three young children. Diana Ross is listed as a secondary trustee in the event that Jackson’s mother can't fill that role. There's new video of a frail-looking Jackson meeting with dancers in May as they rehearsed for his comeback tour. The video continues to fuel speculation about the pop star's health. Investigators are still focused on his possible use of prescription drugs, specifically indications he may have used the powerful sedative Deprivan to deal with insomnia. "This is a drug that produces a lot of bad side effects and patients who take this drug appropriately should have their vital signs monitored," said Dr. Howard Nearman, an anesthesiologist at UH Case Medical Center. What seems to be vital to Jackson’s fans right now is the chance to say a final goodbye. And Wednesday afternoon, a Los Angeles judge ruled that Katherine Jackson will retain limited control of her son's estate, including at least 2,000 items from Neverland Ranch. The ruling does not give her authority to manage the estate's financial interests.
